Parking problems exist all over Malta, not least at the University. That so many students today own their own cars is a sign of the well-being of this country. But at the same time, I cannot help but wonder why solutions have not been found.

I find it also strange that car park six, which is mostly used by students, was taken up recently for filming by an Italian crew. I understand that in these circumstances, parking space must be provided, but my concern is that it is often students who have to give up the “luxury” of finding space for their cars.

This situation, needless to say, created so many difficulties for the students.

I am sure that within the University grounds there are areas that could be turned into more car parks for everyone’s needs.
