Pembroke Athleta footall nursery together with Pembroke Local Council held its traditional annual football festival recently.

In all, seven nurseries from Pembroke Athleta, Naxxar, San Gwann, Mosta, Lija/Iklin, Birkirkara and Zebbug participated with 150 children aged 7 to 11.

The games were played in a good sporting spirit and no winners were declared in accordance with the latest MFA/YFA rules.

In the end, presentations of tokens to all children and first aid kits to all nurseries were presented by the vice-mayor Alfred Mazzitelli and councillor Evelyn Vella Brincat.

The nursery thanked the participants, referees, coaches, nurse on duty and administrators of the nurseries and particularly the Pembroke Local Council for the success of this festival
