Msida won three crucial points when they managed to beat Attard 2-0 to make sure that next season they will play in the second division. This loss pushed Attard into a further trouble as they are now one step closer to being relegated.
Attard went close to open the score when Kurt Zahra’s shot was saved by John Agius. On the 29th minute a free-kick from de Andrade was saved easily by Ubberden.
Msida took the lead on the 32nd minute when Fernando de Andrade beat Ubberden after three attempts with the first one hitting the post, the second saved by Ubberden but the third fininshed in the net.
On the 47th minute a shot from outside the box from de Andrade missed the target.
Msida doubled their lead on the 69th minute when it was again Fernando de Andrade who beat Ubberden from close range. Attard had the chance to reduce the gap on the 80th minute but Darren Galea missed from the small box.

Zebbug and San Gwann finished in a 1-1 draw when a goal in the dying moments denied Zebbug all the three points in their quest for promotion. On the other hand San Gwann lie comfortably in the table.
Zebbug opened the match on a high note when they took the lead after just four minutes. Veteran Jeremy Agius concluded after Nagy had saved a shot from Malcolm Tirchett.
The same Tirchett had a chance on the 20th minute but his low shot finished out. Zebbug went close again on the 38th minute when a cross from Gordon Mallia, Peireira de Mata’s over head kick finished a bit wide.
On the 60th minute Nagy closed the space for Peireira de Mata and blocked the shot from the latter.
Zebbug had the chance to close the affair when on the 84th minute Peireira de Mata passed to substitute David Cauana but his shot finished off target.
But San Gwann had other plans when on the 91st minute off from a free-kick, the Zebbug defence stopped for the offside but Richard Attard came just in time and headed past Debono.

Gzira United continued with their triumphant march towards the First Division League with a point gained from a draw against Zurrieq, even though having to play the last 25 minutes with a man less.
The Maroons were the better team and perhaps deserved something better.
Gzira immediately took full control of the match and took the lead on 19 minutes when Simon Shead passed towards to Karl Saliba who beat the Zurrieq goalkeeper Jeremy Alden.
Gzira doubled the score on the hour when Luis Fernando Borgescorreia de Silva scored the second goal after a fine solo run. Five minutes later Gzira were dealt a severe blow when substitute Shawn Bonello was sent off.
Zurrieq grew in composure as they tried to take advantage of their numerical superiority scoring the two goals that earned them a point.

Gudja maintained their second place on the standings with 48 points tied with Mellieha, where with two matches remaining, the fight for promotion between the two becomes more and more interesting.
Gudja opened the scoring on 16 minutes, when from a freekick from outside the area by Camenzuli, Keith Bonello’s header ended at the corner of the net. Gudja were awarded a penalty ten minutes later, when Pisani was seen fouling Sammut in the area, with William Camenzuli hitting home from the spot.
One minute from time, Gudja were close to increasing their lead, when after a good run by Sammut who went past two defenders, Gauci’s effort went inches wide.
Gudja hit home again on 63 minutes when, after a good run by Thomas who chipped the ball centrally, Peter Paul Sammut first timed home. They sealed the match a few instances from the final whistle, when Timothy John Thomas fled the opposing defence and beat Caruana with a powerful long-distance drive.

Mellieha kept up the pressure on Gudja United, beating Gharghur to register their second consecutive victory. The victory puts Mellieha level on points with Gudja, behind runaway champions Gzira United.
Mellieha fully deserved their victory dominating the first half and taking a deserved lead, a lead which they kept till the final whistle.
In the second half the game was more balanced with Gharghur getting more in the game, but they were unable to have the better of Mellieha’s defence.
After a rather quite start Mellieha took the lead on fourteen minutes when Matthew Vella passed towards Wayne Borg St John who beat Zarb from the edge of the area for what proved to be the winner.
On 35 minutes Mellieha went close again when Simiana passed to William Borg whose effort whose effort went inches wide. Two minutes later Gharghur went close to the equaliser when Perry Acton’s shot missed the upright by a whisker.
In the second half play was rather scrappy with very scoring chances. Gharghur had a good chance on 56 minutes when Iliev passed towards David Mamo who penetrated inside the Mellieha defence but his shot was well saved by the Mellieha custodian.
