Four New Ryanair routes out of Malta

Ryanair, yesterday, announced four new routes out of Malta, to bring its total up to 28. The new routes are from Malta to Kaunas in Lithuania, Malmo in Sweden, Oslo Rygge in Norway and Turin in Italy.

Ryanair says the 28 routes from Malta will deliver over 1 million passengers per year, sustaining 1,000 local jobs in Malta, positively affecting local tourism and economy.

Ryanair’s Sales and Marketing Manager for Malta, Luis Fernandez-Mellado, said: “Ryanair is happy to celebrate the start of new routes that will connect Malta International Airport to four destinations in Europe through direct flights with low fares and no fuel surcharge. Ryanair is committed in Malta Airport´s growth offering a large range of destinations to 11 countries in Europe.”

He said Ryanair’s 28 routes will contribute to the development of the local economy and tourism as they will deliver over 1 million passengers this year. Maltese are now able to visit 4 new beautiful destinations through Ryanair’s direct flights to Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania; Malmo, the commercial centre of southern Sweden and a friendly city with a good choice of cultural attractions; Oslo Rygge, the capital of Norway which is known to be the cultural, scientific, economic and governmental centre of the country and Turin, a city in northern Italy rich in culture and history, which is known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, opera houses etc.
