The news report on “Football stickers and the life-long passion to collect” (Keith Micallef, TMID, 14 May) made interesting reading on two counts.
The first is with regard to the football mania that is slowly creeping up as the Euro 2012 approaches. It is an event that football enthusiasts are looking forward to, and there is no better way that to keep a memory of the event than by collecting the stickers related to the participants.
The second issue is collectors. Many of us collect these albums, but there are many others that collect many other things. Some collect key-chains, others glasses, other still stamps and a million other items.
It would be interesting if The Malta Independent carries features on collectors every now and then.
