As in previous years, Malta will be hosting international tournaments this year organised by the Malta Scrabble Club.

There will be two such events, the 4th European Open Scrabble Championship, currently underway, and then the 5th Malta International Open which starts on Friday and ends on Sunday. The tournaments are scheduled to be held at the Paradise Bay Hotel.

Participation of a number of well-known overseas as well as Maltese competitors will help to make these events highly-interesting especially for those who are well-versed in a word building game which is gaining popularity in several countries.
