In front of a very large crowd at the Hamrun Ground, Zebbug managed to emerge winners after suffering a goal in the first period in the section winner decider on Wednesday. They have qualified for the Inter-Section Knock Out Competition and also for the Inter-Section Promotion Play-Offs.

Lija-Iklin took the lead after 28 minutes when Luke Gatt pounced on a faulty clearance and after advancing crossed the ball in the area to Andrew Sare' who scored with a low shot past Zebbug keeper Samuel Bugeja.

Zebbug equalised just before half time as Matthew Attard pounced on a faulty clearance and after entering the area shot past Lija-Iklin keeper Justin Tonna.

The Yellow-Greens were the better outfit after the resumption and managed to add three further goals. Malcolm Celeste served Tyrone Muscat in the area and he netted with a low hard drive in the 45th minute. Attard scored the third goal in the 69th minute with a hard rising shot after a Celeste cross from the right and the same player added another one in the first minute of injury time in an identical move after a Celeste cross was partly cleared to make it 4-1.

After the game Zebbug were presented with the Trophy by Youth FA official Mr Francis Zammit.
