Paul Vella won the Bidnija Skeet trophy yesterday during a competition organised by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation on 50+25 clays Skeet.

Paul Vella placed 1st with 41+23=64. Second was Joe Muscat with 40+23=63 +s/off+2, while Ian Grima placed 3rd with 40+23=63 +s/off+1. Noel Scicluna was fourth on 61, Paul Sant fifth on 60 and Jason Agius sixth on 57.

Class A was won by Paul Vella 41/50, 2nd was Joe Muscat 40/50.

In Class B Noel Scicluna was first with 41/50, while Ian Grima was second one clay behind.

Meanwhile MSSF shooters are at Larnaca, Cyprus, where next week they will be competing in the European Championships 2012.

Tomorrow, William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee Xuereb will be competing in the Double Trap event. They are being assisted by their coach Jimmy Bugeja.

On Thursday 24 and Friday 25 May, James Galea and Rennie Deguara will be competing in the Trap event.
