When Deceit becomes a crime

Malta Independent Sunday, 27 May 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

It is blatantly shameful for us, the average and helpless Maltese citizens endowed with a modicum of self-respect, to be represented by a House of Representatives that very often appears to be the seat of so much deceit, hypocrisy and bigotry. The history of the present PN legislation most especially is replete with examples that would literally fill a substantial volume.

Without doubt, the repercussions of certain deceitful decisions are more serious when the health or well being of Maltese citizens is placed at risk. And the most disturbing example of this is, of course, the surreptitious decision by the incumbent PN legislators to install machinery running on heavy fuel oil at the Delimara Power Plant. In simple terms, this means that the plant in question is daily belching poison into the air to the detriment of every single soul living in Malta, which can only be described as a criminal act that is directly affecting the health of all and sundry.
