The Standing Committee of the Members Association within the MFA is organising the Members Association Cup for the second consecutive time.

Last year’s tournament was an outstanding success with the participation of five associations. It was won by the Industries Soccer Association who beat GIDA (Ghar id-Dud Association) in the final.

Five associations – ISA, GIDA, SWAN, MESA and MFCA – are taking part in this year’s tournament. MAFA and GFA are unable to take part because of other commitments.

The MFA will be forking out all the expenses including the ground fees, referees, trophies and medals to the finalists.

The draws were made during the last meeting of the Standing Committee and resulted as follows:

Friday 1 June: Prel. Rd 6.15pm GIDA-MESA (at Melita FC Ground).

Monday 4 June: semifinal 6.30pm SWAN-ISA; 8pm MFCA-winners of match between GIDA and MESA (at Centenary Stadium).

The final of this competition is to be played on Tuesday 5 June at the Centenary Stadium, starting at 6.30pm. At the end, there will be the presentation of trophies and medals.
