The Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation organised a very interesting tournament reserved for cadets as well as for school boys/girls.

Young wrestlers from four teams namely Naxxar Boys Secondary, Qawra Wrestling Club Boys and Qawra Wrestling Club Girls as well as Stella Maris College took part.

There were no less than 65 bouts contested in front of a large crowd made mostly of parents, other relatives and friends.

The bouts were refereed by Abraham Vassallo and Lawrence Attard while Pierre Cassar, Alfred Ellul Mercer, Jesmond Giordimaina and Kenneth Vella were table officials. Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation President Simon A. Bonello was also present.
