In reply to the column- long eulogy by Louis Fenech (TMID, 1 June) I will only take a few lines to ask him why is it that, despite the ‘bonanza’ he says we had under  the Labour regime, the people of Malta and Gozo opted to vote Nationalist for the last 25 years, except for a mere 22 months when Labour took office because of the VAT promise which turned out to be Alfred Sant’s downfall? This is the right picture.
