Labour leader Joseph Muscat yesterday visited the Chambray project in Gozo where apartments are being built, to be followed by a five star hotel.
He said the PL agrees with this project by a Gozitan company owned by Dr Michael Caruana.
When Fort Chambray was handed to the Italian Roberto Memmo, he added, the PL had criticised the manner in which it had been given, and the speculation made at the cost of the Maltese. But today the project is in the hands of Gozitans and can be a means of how to attract foreign residents, creating quality jobs for the Gozitans in Gozo itself.
Dr Muscat said this was the Labour Party’s commitment, to create quality jobs for the Gozitans in Gozo itself.
