The first game brought about a high scoring match, which had the Gozitans obtaining a spirited victory. They were ably led by their Hungarian, Zoltan Radocz, who finished with a double hat trick, and his compatriot, Mate Balatoni getting a goal less.

Otters made their man ups count, netting four times from five occasions. Ta Xbiex were always trailing their opponents, after having conceded the first five goals of the match.. They managed to get to within a goal in the second session, but then fell away again, and didn’t recover.

It turned out better than expected for Sliema, as they swept away Exiles’ challenge, to add on to their other two wins over the same opponents, in the Winter league. Sliema’s victory stemmed from their solid defence, with their new goalie, Hungarian Istvan Gregely. Exiles were nearly shut out in their man ups, scoring only once in ten occasions. John Soler and the other Hungarian, Ferenc Salamon grabbed a hat trick each, as Sliema increased their lead in all the four sessions.

Sirens were too good for the Citizens, despite frittering away most of their extra player instances, netting once from four man ups. Valletta were also wasteful, with two golas in six man ups. Valletta had to do without their second foreigner, as Hungarian Robert Kovacs was absent, due to a surgical intervention, a few days ago.

Sirens made sure till the interval, with the Citizens coming more into the game in the last two sessions, but by then Sirens had built up a good enough lead.

The champions cantered away to their first league win, brushing their adversaries aside.

M’scala tried to limit the damage, but Neptunes did not give much room to play their game.

Steve Camilleri scored a nap hand of goals, as his side banged in their high score.

M’scala paraded their new player, from Samoa, Joseph Kayes, who managed to net a couple of goals, as his side had to struggle against superior opponents, whilst the other foreigner, Hungarian Judashz Szolt, scored a brace of penalties.
