The MFA has announced the dates of the season-opening tournament – the Euro Cup – reserved for the four teams taking part in the European club competitions.

These are Valletta, Hibernians, Birkirkara and Floriana.

The tournament kicks off at the Centenary Stadium with the City and suburban derby between Valletta and Floriana on Wednesday 20 June and will be followed the next day – at the same venue - with the match between Hibernians and Birkirkara.

On Tuesday 26 June, also at the Centenary Stadium, Floriana will face Hibernians.

The next day, at the same venue, Birkirkara take on Valletta.

The final two matches will be played on 28 and 29 June at the Hibernians Stadium.

On the first day, Hibernians will face Valletta and on the following day it will be Floiana and Birkirkara to conclude the one-round tournament.

All matches are to kick off at 6.30pm.
