Dozens of Russia fans attacked stewards after the European Championship match between their nation’s team and the Czech Republic.
Police spokesman Pawel Petrykowski said four of the stewards were taken to hospitals after they were beaten but that they are not badly injured.
Online footage shows the fans punching the stewards, who apparently intervened in another scuffle, in a concourse area of Wroclaw Municipal Stadium. One steward was kicked while he was on the ground.
Petrykowski said the beatings lasted for a “few dynamic minutes,” but that all in all it was a “small incident.”
He said no arrests were made but that police are examining security video footage.
