Frankie Tanti, above, has been appointed by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) to represent Malta in the qualifying pool A of the women’s competition of the 2013 CEV Senior Championships to be played in Malta later on this month.
This is Tanti’s second appointment this year after being nominated as a neutral referee in the Final Round of the Junior European championships earlier in the year.
This qualification Pool A will be played at the Cottonera Sports Complex between Friday 22 and Sunday 24 June, with five countries, namely Cyprus, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Scotland and Malta taking part.
Eight referees have been appointed for this tournament, five of which represent the countries taking part, together with another three neutral referees.
Besides Tanti, who will be representing Malta, the other referees are the following: G. Macintyre (Scotland), G. Reynolds (Ireland), Y. Sophocleous (Cyprus), A. Sikanjic (Liechtenstein), N. Caltabiano (Italy – Neutral), B. Markelj (Slovenia – Neutral) and M. Themelis (Greece – Neutral).
Branco Vlahovic, MVA president, will be the CEV technical delegate for this tournament.
