So much is being said about the big screen that was set up in St Julian’s for people wanting to watch the Euro 2012 football games in a public setting.
I wonder why the restaurants are making such a big fuss about it. In every large European city, one will find such big screens where people gather to watch the games together.
Fans from different nations create a pleasant atmosphere with their chanting and waving of flags. It is, after all, what sport is all about – bringing people together.
And, after all, this big screen is a temporary structure that will be removed once the games are over.
Are restaurant owners so selfish that they would like to be the only ones to make some money during the Euro 2012 championships?
