Żminijietna – Voice of the Left calls upon the government to respect the decision taken in the parliamentary vote against RCC. The government has no other option but to review Malta’s position in the Partnership for Peace.

The vote in favour confirms that Moviment Graffitti and the other civil society organisations were right in campaigning massively against the present administration, as the process adopted to reactivate Malta’s entry in PfP did not respect the laws of democracy. At that time, the slogan for the campaign was ‘dictatorial democracy’.

Żminijietna believes that respect for democratic rules requires that the government bears political responsibility and reviews Malta’s position in the PfP. We appeal also to the Labour Party to put pressure on the government in this regard.
