Bank of Valletta Cash and Deposit ATMs now have the added benefit of allowing customers to make instant deposits into any BOV Credit Card account.

These deposits can be made at any of BOV’s 25 advanced ATMs, which accept cash and cheque deposits, without even the need for a deposit envelope. The ATM also checks the credit card number inserted to confirm the validity of the credit card.

Cash is scanned and deposited immediately, while cheques are deposited within a very short time, with the ATM providing instant proof of deposit, including a scanned image of the cheque for the customer’s records.

“The newest functionality available through BOV ATMs means that customers can settle their credit card bills in real time by depositing cash directly into their credit card account,” said Ivo Camilleri, executive head Electronic Banking at Bank of Valletta.

“For additional convenience, customers can also deposit cash to credit cards belonging to friends or relatives who also hold credit cards issued by Bank of Valletta. This provides the ultimate convenience for customers, who, for example, find themselves short of funds while on holiday abroad,” continued Mr Camilleri. “Such transactions are performed in a convenient and secure manner using the latest ATM technology available on the market.”

This functionality complements other useful features found on BOV ATMs, including the ability to top up mobile phones, pay bills, and transfer funds between accounts. It is the latest in a series of changes being made to the bank’s extensive network of ATMs, an initiative which will see the addition of new functions aimed at providing a more innovative and efficient service to its customers.
