The Men’s national team (photo) had a mixed start at the world championships being held in Blackpool, England.

The team has won four and lost another four matches so far.

On the first day, the Maltese beat West Indies 12-9. Then it registered other victories against N. Ireland (11-10), Kenya (17-4) and France (14-7).

The defeats came at the hands of South Africa (10-11), Scotland (9-12), India (9-12) and England (8-13).
