This weekend the Girls Under 18 and Under 16 national teams will be participating in the 40th anniversary edition of the Interamia World Cup between today and next Tuesday. The matches will be held in Teramo and in some other Municipalities on the Adriatic coast within the Province of Teramo, Italy.
The Under 18 team will be playing against - FURESOE HB (Denmark), CNAR HANDBALL (Mexico), GROENLANDIA (Italy), HILLEROD (Denmark), NEVSKAYA VOLNA (Russia)
The Under 16 team will be playing against - DICKEN GIRLS (Finland), HRK KATARINA MOSTAR (Bosnia-E.), ZRK KOSACA (Bosnia-E.), HBC ST.LAURENT “B” (France), HC NIKI SPORT (Bulgaria) , ELITA LEBBEKE (Belgium), FURESOE HB “B” (Danimarca), FET HK “A” (Norway), LUNG JING JUN (Taiwan), HBC ST.LAURENT “A” (France)

best player awards
Goalkeepers Daniel Tanti (Luxol HC) and Marylyn Agius (Aloysians HC) won the best player awards during the Malta Handball Association Awards Night.
MHA President Louis Borg and Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport representative Bertie Muscat presented the awards to the winners.
Peter Naudi (Aloysians HC) 41 goals, and Stephanie Desjardins (La Salle HC) 59 goals, won the top scorer awards respectively.
Denis Wittebrood, MHA marketing manager, announced the Eurosport photo competition winner, John Scicluna, for the best handball action photo for the season 2011/12.
