Juventus are being considered favourites to sign Arsenal captain Robin van Persie.

The Dutch player signalled his intent to leave the Gunners in a statement released a few days ago, saying he would not sign an extension to his current deal, which runs out in 12 months.

The announcement alerted not only Juventus, but other top clubs like the two Manchester clubs, City and United.

The Turin club are said to have already bid £8million for the forward but will have to raise their offer significantly if they are to tempt Arsenal to part company with their key man.
