Valletta FC have reached an agreement with Msida St Joseph over the transfer of goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo.

According to Valletta FC’s official website, defender Steve Bezzina joined Msida St Joseph as part of the deal. Bezzina signed a five year contract with Mosta FC and will make way for Manuel Bartolo to join the Citizens from Msida St Joseph.

Bezzina had been on loan with Sliema Wanderers for the last two seasons.

Apart from Msida, Bartolo had spells in the Premier League at Birkirkara and Floriana.

Scerri and Grima join Hamrun S. on loan

Valletta FC defender Massimo Grima and striker Terrence Scerri have joined Hamrun Spartans on loan till the end of the season.

Massimo Grima 33, is a product of the Pieta Hotspurs nursery.

He has had spells with Sliema and Valletta before being loaned out to Mosta, Qormi and Hamrun the past three seasons.

Scerri is well known for his spell at Hibernians where, in 160 matches, he scored no fewer than 85 goals, finishing as top scoer in 2008-09 season with 26 goals.
