FISEC Games - Malta Wins another three medals as FISEC games come to an end

Malta won yet another three medals in athletics, two bronze and one silver.

Nicole Gatt won third place in the girls’ 400m, whilst Luke Farrugia won third place in the discus competition.

The girls’ team, consisting of Robyn Zammit, Nadine Gatt, Nicole Gatt and Rebecca Fitz, who were competing in the 4x400m relay won the silver medal.

The games came to an end yesterday evening with the closing ceremony which took place in the Oracle hall at the Dolmen Hotel. Medals and trophies were presented during the ceremony, including an award for fair play.

The ceremony was concluded with speeches by Lies Jansen and Louis Borg, Vice Presidents of the International FISEC Committees.

The Chairman for Kunsill Malti Bro Martin Borg fsc presented the Hungarian delegation with a Maltese flag. The next edition of the games next year will be held in Hungary in the town of Kechkemet.

This year’s edition was organised thanks to the ongoing help of the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport, the Maltese Tourism Authority, Banif Bank, Eurosport, General Soft Drinks, Tal-Lira, M Demajo Group, Vodafone plc, Emotion Signworks, ap9 Promotions and Alfa Limited.
