Contradiction

Malta Independent Wednesday, 25 July 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

In his paranoia to interpret anything that happens in the local scene as a conspiracy, Leo Brincat contradicted himself in two successive paragraphs in his article ‘Austin Gatt could step down to buy peace’ (TMID, 24 July).

First he said that the “usual suspects” – whoever they may be, but Leo Brincat wants to keep his options open, so he did not name them – “went ballistic” on JPO as soon as the MP resigned from the Nationalist Party.

Then, in the subsequent paragraph, he said that the “usual suspects” – which I presume were the same ones as before, as otherwise Brincat would have called them by a different name – went “completely silent” on JPO so as not to rock the boat.

Did they go “ballistic” or did they go “completely silent”?
