I would like to publicly express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the three Americans, members of the group ‘I choose Jesus’, who happened to be at the Malta International Airport on 21 July when I was hit by a speeding car and thrown about five metres away on the pavement.

They rushed to the scene and applied first aid treatment professionally before I was taken to an emergency clinic.

I would also like to thank Mr John Busuttil (Net TV sports commentator) who happened to be there for his help and words of encouragement while I was being looked after.

When I, finally, thanked the American paramedic for his excellent service, his answer was: “Don’t thank me, but thank God because it was a miracle that an 81-year-old man, run over by a car, only suffered minor injuries. Praise be Our Lord.”
