Malta’s Tornado Tony Drago, photo, is on course to face his snooker idol, Whirlwind Jimmy White, in the third round of the Shanghai Masters qualifiers.

Yesterday the Valletta-born ace scored a 5-4 first round win against Jamie O’Neill. And that brought him to within just one more win to be able to face Jimmy White.

He now faces Michael White in today’s second round match.

If Drago wins again today, then tomorrow’s qualifier against White should be a sell out as they are both still considered by thousands of snooker enthusiasts as two of the greatest entertainers ever.
