Vito Giordano, of Italy, (photo) has been given the post of sporting consultant at Qormi FC. He was presented to the club’s sponsors last week by the president, Redino Apap, during a special activity at the Dolmen Hotel in Qawra.

The club has made it clear that coach Stephen Azzopardi will remain head of the technical sector and coach of the Qormi FC first team. In fact, Azzopardi is said to be happy with Giordano’s appointment and is looking forward to work hand in hand with such a person who has abundant quality and a vast experience in this field.

Giordano worked in Italy with several clubs, among them, Parma and Lecce. He is now expected to make use of his contacts to try and lure some young footballers from Italy to join the Qormi club.

During the activity, Qormi also presented Italian 18-year old signing Ambrosio Catello who is now forming part of the Under 18 squad.
