The Malta Stock Exchange Index appreciated by 0.07% and closed at 3,128.687 points as three equities were negotiated across 16 deals for a total value of €34,094 yesterday.
Bank of Valletta plc was the only positive performer as its share price appreciated by 0.4% and closed at €2.100 when 12,450 shares were negotiated across 11 deals.
On the other hand, 6pm Holdings plc was the only negative performer of the session as its share price dropped by 12.5% and closed at £0.28 on a single deal of 1,000 shares.
Meanwhile GO plc remained stable at €1.050.
In the corporate bond market, 11 bonds were negotiated across 18 deals. Six were positive, three were negative and two remained stable. The 7% FIMBank 2012/19 gained most ground as its price appreciated by 0.9% and closed at €102.00 on a single deal of 50,000. The other positive bonds were the 7.5% Mediterranean Investments Holding 2012/14, the 4.6% HSBC Bank Malta 2017, the 7.15% Mediterranean Investments Holding 2015/17, the 6.25% International Hotel Investments 2015/19 and the 6.8% Premier Capital 2017/20. On the other hand, the 7.5% Mediterranean Investments Holding 2015 lost most ground as its price dropped by 0.9% and closed at €100.00 on a single deal of 1,500. The other negative bond was the 6% Gasan Finance 2014/16.
In the government bond market 10 bonds were negotiated across 19 deals. Two were positive and eight were negative. The 5.9% MGS 2015 II gained most ground as its price appreciated by 0.1% and closed at €111.22 on a single deal of 9,318. On the other hand, the 5.25% MGS 2030 and the 5.2% MGS 2031 lost most ground as their prices dropped by 0.2% and closed at €103.67 and €102.30 respectively.
