Maltese followers will be all behind local double trap shooter William Chetcuti who will be in action today in the London 2102 Olympics.

William Chetcuti will compete with another 23 shooters in the double trap competition. These were divided in four Groups, with Chetcuti in the fourth group together with Italian Francesco D’Aniello, British Peter Robert Russell Wilson, Hungarian Richard Bognar, Russian Vasily Mosin, and Croatian Anton Glasnovic.

All shooters will have three rounds of 50 clays each in the first phase for a maximum score of 150 clays. Following this first phase the top six of these 24 shooters will go to the final barrage consisting of another 50 clays to determine the winner.

William Chetcuti who occupies 4th place in the ISSF Double Trap World rankings will start his first round shoot at 10.30am local time. The second and third rounds will start at noon and 1.30pm respectively.

The final barrage will start at 4pm local time.
