Why Mepa (Malta Environment & Planning Authority) has allowed the construction of the hotel being built at the Birgu Waterfront to go much higher than the original constructions, with the ensuing result being that of suffocating all the residences behind it?

Furthermore, the proximity of the rear end of the hotel to the windows and balconies of the facing residences is a serious concern for security, as the negligible distance can easily be managed by using a plank to attain access to the relevant residences.

Who is responsible for such matters?

Hon. Minister, is it true that we Maltese take action after the incident occurs and have little sense of prevention?

Could you please ensure that whoever is responsible, possibly Enemalta or Transport Malta, illuminate properly the Regional Road tunnels and the sides painted with fluorescent paint, because when one enters the tunnels one can hardly see a thing. Wouldn’t it be better if it’s done now and not after a serious incident?
