Just like a moribund patient, GonziPN dreams vividly of what he considers to have been his ‘good times’ and as time goes by, frequently babbles myths.

Their billboard mysteriously claims that ‘Labour won’t work’. I was intrigued by this puerile parting shot on their part. I never imagined that matters were so desperate for them that they were obliged to consult an oracle of sorts that prophesied according to their wishful thinking.

Several keen observers noted particularly the lack of originality, while others commented on the purely negative nature of the message.

Quite contrary to this regime’s dictum, Labour under Dr Joseph Muscat and his resourceful team have no option whatsoever but to work at double quick time to repair Malta’s ailing industry and economy, after long years of downright bad policy and neglect. On the contrary, Work and Opportunity will be the order of the day for any person serious enough to take up the challenge; moreover, the environment created by the up-and-coming Labour government will be conducive to realising this end speedily, efficiently and without wastage.

I feel confident that, in due time, Muscat will remove his jacket and tie, roll up his sleeves and put his back to the wheel; not only because it’s in him to do so, but also to serve as an example to all of us who still believe in Malta’s potential.
