She floats like a butterfly

and stings like a bee,

From bray in County Wicklow

our golden girl Katie.

She really is amazing,

she did our little nation proud,

As she landed another left and right to roars of ole` from the crowd.

The fans were there in their

thousands, it was a sight to behold,

They sang The fields of Athenry,

as Katie went for gold.

So three cheers to our Katie,

who achieved her Olympic dream,

The first ladies boxing champion,

Ireland’s golden Olympic queen
