The Maltese national team will be taking part in an international tournament on 25 August in Bradford and will have as their opponents a number of wrestlers from English clubs.

The Maltese contingent will be made up of seven wrestlers and two officials, namely national coach Jesmond Giordimaina and referee Paul Farrugia.

The Maltese coach has been invited by the organisers to take part in a Masters category (65kg).

The other wrestlers will be Gary Giordimaina (Schoolboy 47kg), Wayne Formosa (Schoolboy (70kg), Mark Galea (Cadet 58kg), Adam Vella (Senior 60kg), David Zammit (Senior 66kg), Abraham Vassallo (Senior 84kg) and Aidan Buhagiar (Senior 96kg).
