‘Modern’ bus shelters afford scant protection from the sun (and the rain) and there still are too few of them. I pity those who are somewhat infirm on their feet who have to use nearby parked car bumpers or paint peeling walls to rest while waiting.

But the award for such utter disregard of passenger comforts must go to that wise guy who instructed the dismantling of the Aħrax tal-Mellieħa top of the hill from Għadira stone bus shelter to have it replaced by a glass and steel one for a few days, only for this to be removed again.
