For the second time this year Maltese wrestlers managed to record another success this time at the international tournament in Bradford, England.

The Maltese contingent, consisting of seven wrestlers, including national coach Jesmond Giordimaina who was invited to wrestle in the Masters 74kg plus referee Pawlu Farrugia.

In all, the Maltese team won four gold medals and a silver one. Such a result shows that the Maltese standard of wrestling is continuing to improve.

Maltese wrestlers contested the Cadets 63kg, and 69kg, Seniors 55kg, 60kg, 66kg, 74kg, 96kg plus Masters 74kg.

Young Gary Giordimaina, although for the first time, contested the senior 55kg and managed to take gold.

As was expected both Abraham Vassallo and Adam Vella emerged winners in the 84kg and 60kg respectively.

On the other hand Aidan Buhagiar got the silver in the 96kg. National coach Jesmond Giordimaina did not miss gold in the Masters 74kg.

Thus the Maltese national team won the Bradford international tournament.
