I am writing this letter to express my disappointment when I found that there was a €5 charge for every foreign money purchase I made from Fexserv branches in St Julian’s and San Gwann last month by Credit Card. At no point was I verbally warned of the charges when purchasing the money.
Upon contacting Customer Care, I was simply told that the minuscule warning at the bottom of the confirmation email sent when ordering the money online saying that one ‘may incur charges’ was sufficient. The Customer Service representative actually insisted that all staff members are told to warn customers paying by Credit Card that they will be charged this fee. Naturally, no one informed me at any point of the purchase, and I received no reply when I expressed this to the Customer Service representative.
I am thus asking readers to be wary of engaging in business with Fexserv, as it seems to be a company that enjoys exploiting fine print.
