Maltese boxing veteran Dione Galea who is ranked 2nd in the EBF (European Boxing Federation) will be facing English boxer Jason Curtis who is ranked 1st. Both boxers already fought on 20 July – a match which ended in a draw.

This fight was valid for the European title. This one, to be held on 16 November, will be a rematch to determine the European title holder.

Even though there have been rumours that the rematch had to be staged in England, now it is going to be held locally because between the 9th and 14th, Galea will be competing in the Kick Boxing tournament in Trapani, Sicily. Galea entered this tournament last year and lost in the final.

The venue for the November is still to be confirmed. For the kickboxing tournament in Sicily, Galea is being trained by Simon Chetcuti in The Art Of Fighting Club and for the fight against Curtis, he is going to be trained by Michael Brown at Brown’s Boxing Club.
