After months of hard work, preparation and a new sense of enthusiasm, the Malta Handball Association management team has inaugurated the new season.

A record of 39 teams and more than 400 registered players will be taking part in different categories organised by the Malta Handball Association.

A new club, HMS Handball, has registered within the association. HMS Eurosport will participate in the men’s senior cups and second division championship.

The season 2012/13 will commence today with two ‘Eurosport Super Cup’ finals to be played at the KMS University Sports Hall - the men’s and women’s Super Cup finals.

In the women’s senior category, holders and defending champions La Salle ZT Developments play against MHA cup winners Aloysians Zmerc. The match starts at 2pm.

In the men’s senior category, last season’s champions La Salle BHS play against knockout finalists Aloysians Von Taine.

The association has this year launched a new website where all information related to local and foreign handball may be found on www.maltahandball.com
