Handball: La Salle Handball Clubs Retain Super Cups

In the opening day of the new handball season, La Salle Handball Club claimed the Eurosport Super Cup in both categories (men and women) by beating Aloysians Handball Club.

La Salle ZT Developments beat Aloysians Zmerc 14-10 in the women’s category after leading 9-2 in the first half when they were already appearing to be on the way to victory.

However Aloysians never failed to provide tough opposition and gave La Salle a hard time till the end. Brenda Camilleri for Aloysians together with Celaine Ellul and Kami Dobrancheva for La Salle were the top scorers with four goals each.

La Salle BHS also kept their supremacy in the men’s category as they beat Aloysians Von Taine 18-13.

Aloysians gained an early lead in the first half: however La Salle BHS got back in the match scoring five consecutive goals.

The second half lacked in goals, nonetheless La Salle BHS held on to their half time lead to show that they are still the team to beat this season.

Chris Magro was the game’s top scorer for La Salle BHS with five goals whereas Alex De Pilato netted four for Aloysians Von Taine.
