In what seems nothing less than a frenetic effort, GonziPN tries hard to catch up on the battle of the billboards. Their very action reveals that quite evidently they feel at a disadvantage. Put factually, they are losing, not only ground, but from their present tone, it seems, also their nerve.
The most recent billboard addition, this time round coming from GonziPN, shows Muscat as the third monkey in the series from the Mystic Apes at the Tosho-gu Shine in Nikko Japan; the monkey with his hands over his mouth. GonziPN featured in the earlier two editions, featuring the Hear No Evil and See No Evil’ monkeys, provided with the compliments of Dr Joseph Muscat.
Whereas the Labour Party billboards reflected something factual, that is to say things perceptible on the ground, tangible things and this new claim by GonziPN isn’t even remotely anywhere close to the truth!
Is Muscat indeed mute? Evidence indicates otherwise!
For all those with functioning, clean ears, ready to hear and consider new dynamic situations, Joseph Muscat repeats almost at every pronouncement he makes, his univocal commitment to get the country back on track by giving it the badly-needed reforms in all sectors whereas, on the other hand, GonziPN’s offers look like inefficacious placebos that haven’t worked in the past and which come with a five-star guarantee that they will fail us again, and again!
Once we have been collectively reduced to serfs, it is only legitimate to hope for a change in the situation. The creation of wealth comes through work and policies supportive of the industrious. As a consequence a prosperous middle class will re-emerge in due time, as the poverty level recedes from the present, neck level to a more manageable ankle depth.
On the other hand, what has been sustained throughout GonziPN was the savage dismantling of the economy in favour of the Big Boys, surely and truly, at the expense of the all of us! This policy invariably favours the widening of the gap between the Haves and Have-Nots. Surely, it stands to reason that Dr Muscat will put an end to this abuse, and this is really eating them up Their days are numbered and the dam won’t hold much longer.
Dr Muscat is no fool. He will lay his winning hand of cards down on the table in due course.
Dr Muscat’s policy is natural, and diametrically opposed to GonziPN’s illogical standpoint which comes through no small amount of bad-economy book-reading. Dr Muscat, like any good husbandry-man or crop-farmer will encourage and nurse the young and promising, the budding, to get established; and all this is in stark contrast to GonziPN, who favoured the already fat cats to grow even further at the expense of the smaller cats - disgraceful conduct.
On the starting gun’s GO, Labour’s Election Manifesto will be made public and crystal clear to all those diligent enough to go through it.
There is one other huge difference between the two men. Whereas Muscat tends to be the ever increasing expression of a fast growing movement of persons, from all walks of life, who are becoming more and more disgruntled and disenchanted with a sterile GonziPN; on its part, GonziPN seems to serve as the mouthpiece for the interests of the few around him lending him support for motives of their own.
By nature, I’m averse to the misconception, widely diffused in Western ‘culture’, which tends to uphold relativism. For a mistaken notion of the word ‘tolerance’, some go to the absurdity of justifying an action. They maintain that there are such things as objective truths; and consequently, if a word or action is found to be without any basis in reality, such as the blatant absurdity proposed, with little thought, by GonziPN, that Muscat lost his tongue; then such person(s) are guilty of a deliberate falsehood.
I maintain that morality is the basis of all things. Truth is the substance of all morality, which implies that an untruth is an immorality. Therefore, a person speaking untruths is an immoral person who has compromised him/herself and has hence irreversibly lost all credibility. By so doing, such individuals jeopardises not only their present action, but also put on trial, his past actions. Such a person has no future.
Truly, everybody in my part of the world (50 per cent+++), anxiously awaits the televised encounters in the run-up to the forthcoming elections, between the self-restraining leader with a valid argument to drive home, and the pontificating blabber who ran out of steam as he nostalgically and frenetically dusts off his self-awarded ‘triumphs’ in public.
