ST Malta awarded the 1st prize for its health and safety best practices

The ST Malta Plant has been awarded  the 2012 1st Prize  Health and Safety Best Practices Award organized by the national Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.

ST Malta is  also  selected to represent Malta as a country in the European H&S competition for the highest standards and best practices.

The presentation was done by the Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care Hon Dr J Cassar  and by Ms Bogiarka Bola, Network Manager for the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.

The company’s  good practices were presented by Ms Silvana Bugeja, Health and Safety Manager and focused on the procedures, processes and programs related to the deployment of its  Emergency Response Team;  Health & Safety Champions; Environment, Health and Safety Steering Committee;  Employee suggestion scheme; Health & Safety training; Health Plan and Health & Counselling clinic

ST Malta is also certified with the  OHSAS18001 certification’s standards..
