Transport Malta has two weights and two measures on road resurfacing when it comes to Arterial Roads and Non Arterial Roads.

I cannot understand how is it that some 350,000 vehicles registered on our roads with a road tax which is paid to Transport Malta, when it comes to roads repairs and resurfacing are defined to whom responsibility falls whether  the Local Council or Transport Malta and this is a pain without any gain.

An example the resurfacing of Sliema and Gzira Ferries Road towards Valletta was recently done with the blessings of TM because it felt it deemed to for some reason or other not need to elaborate.

Yet Triq Gulju in St Paul’s Bay Bugibba, is not treated in the same manner yet it is not classed as an Arterial Road but there are numerous Arriva Busses that pass trough and serves as an entry road for private and commercial vehicles to serve and that live in the area.

So Who ever decided what how and where to distinction one road from the other they failed in Triq Gulju and Transport Malta should resurface this road as it is in as state of despair.

So much for classifying St Paul’s Bay Bugibba and Qawra as the Tourism hub in Malta when it is treated as a second class district, and some of the roads does not match the development in progress.

Beside all this there is also a neglect of creating more parking space to make up for all those lost due to all the development.
