Halloween descends on The Point

Malta Independent Wednesday, 31 October 2012, 12:38 Last update: about 11 years ago

Halloween activities descended on The Point early this year with families and children packing the shopping mall early last Saturday morning.

The mall was festooned with special decorations for the occasion and the large spider web in the atrium was especially appreciated.

Free craft sessions were organised in the morning between 11am and 2pm where animators helped kids create their own Trick or Treat bags in preparation for the afternoon activity of trick or treating.

This activity had an overwhelming response with the event in the mall commencing at 4p.m. and lasting until the sweets finished!   All the children enjoyed going around the shops and asking for treats which were supplied free to shop staff for distribution.

The Point also organized a free Halloween Hat bonanza. During the afternoon over 500 orange witches’ hats were distributed to all the children by girls dressed up for the occasion in witches’ costumes.  All afternoon The Point was alive with colour as 500 children wearing orange hats rushed around the mall trick and treating.
