Malta Independent Wednesday, 7 November 2012, 15:02 Last update: about 11 years ago
Ronald Attard, Ernst & Young Malta's managing partner, has just been appointed as the global company’s South East Europe’s Transaction Advisory Services Cluster Leader.
The appointment is a first for Malta. It is also a clear indication of the strides forward that E&Y Malta is making beyond our shores.
Ernst & Young announced combined global revenues of $24.4 billion for the financial year ended 30 June 2012, compared with $22.9 billion in 2011. Revenues grew 7.6% in local currency ($ 6.7%).
Ronald Attard’s new international role will put him in a leadership position to deliver Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) across Southern Europe. He will be helping clients make better and more informed decisions about their capital and transaction management in a changing world.
Ronald will retain his current leadership roles of Country Leader and Head of TAS in Malta. Ronald has over 20 years of professional experience and has been a partner for over 12 years. Eight years ago he moved from Assurance to TAS and since then has built up and developed the TAS practice into a market leader.
His team has handled leading due diligence and valuation engagements involving inbound investment, asset sales and acquisitions.
Ronald is looking forward to working closely with the TAS team in the cluster, to enhance integration and drive cluster-wide initiatives. His comment:
“This a challenging opportunity and I shall look forward to taking it on. From a Maltese angle, it will also open up new ways to continue to integrate local and international business ventures.”
