Over a hundred people attended the re-opening party of the recently renovated Rubens Drive In restaurant in Qawra.
The successful restaurant which has been operating for 16 years, recently suffered fire damage and was quickly refurbished and opened again in the space of days, thanks to the efforts of chef patron Ruben Farrugia.
Ruben who has years of experience in the catering industry, opened Rubens in 1996 after successfully running a restaurant in Australia for many years.
The restaurant which has become so popular amongst the Maltese, offers a wide selection of dishes including fresh seafood, grills, pasta, ribs & wings as well as a number of delicious oriental dishes.
During the event Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker presented Ruben with one of its Gold Loyalty Certificates and personalised double magnums to commemorate 16 years of successful business trading together.
Guests were welcomed with a chilled glass of Delicata’s new lower alcohol Rose Spritzzer and to accompany the vast array of food prepared, which included fresh oysters, king prawns, sushi, oriental bites, mini burgers, kebabs etc etc, Medina Vermentino Zibibbo and Pjazza Regina red and rose quality wines were chosen. Ruben’s Drive In restaurant is located in Triq it-Tamar, Qawra.
