For these last seven years I have been living in the Philippines where, despite the resources the country offers, many people are still living in poverty. This is mostly due to the natural disasters that batter the cities, towns and villages every year.
After the floods that recently hit the village of Tucop, many people found shelter in our school, and the financial help of €1,500 given to me by the Mission Fund came in handy, as I could help some families build a brick room instead of the tin-built shanty where they had lived and which was carried away by the force of the raging waters.
The sacrifices, work and contributions of so many people who help the Mission Fund turned out to be blessing to Filipino families in desperate need of help.
Anyone who wants to help the Mission Fund in its beneficial work can do so by sending used postage stamps, as well as donations. Donations can be made online or by direct bank transfer to one of the following accounts: HSBC (Account No. 061 197 448 050), BOV (163 007 980 19), APS (200 008 207 62) or Banif (000 879 631 01).
