As Valletta gears up to start welcoming the thousands of shoppers during the forthcoming festive season, the city can boast a new jewel in its retail crown – the new Bulgari Boutique, the first on the island solely dedicated to the global Italian brand.

Located within the heart of Republic Street, The Bulgari Boutique can be found at the Sterling Diamonds in Republic street Valletta, which has been fully re-designed and re-fitted by Bulgari's internal design department to complement Bulgari's distinctive architectural and decorative style.

“Announcing the opening of this new Bulgari Boutique is a source of great satisfaction in knowing that Sterling Group represents one of the most successful and coveted iconic luxury brands in the world,” said Romina Grech Fenech, Managing Director of Sterling Group. “Besides being delighted to launch this latest project in time before the Christmas season, this latest investment affirms Sterling Group’s belief that Valletta’s Republic Street will always be Malta’s prime destination for high street shopping and a very sought after location for leading luxury brands,” added Ms Grech Fenech.

Displaying the latest creations by Bulgari namely one-of-a-kind precious jewels, contemporary jewellery collections, watches for men and women, the Bulgari Boutique @ Sterling Diamonds also features an enticing collection of accessories such as handbags, and small leather goods for men and women, scarfs, ties, and belts. The boutique includes VIP facilities for private client appointments.

Bulgari was founded by Sotirio Bulgari, a Greek silversmith who having moved to Italy, in 1884 opened his first shop in Via Sistina, Rome. In 1905, with the help of his sons Costantino and Giorgio, he inaugurated the shop in Via Condotti, which today remains Bulgari’s flagship store. After the second world war, Giorgio and Costantino decided to move away from the dominant disciplines of the French goldsmith school to create a unique style inspired by Greco-Roman classicism, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. By the 1950’s-60’s, the bold and innovative style of Bulgari had gained success within the jet set and movie world.

International fame, triggered Bulgari’s first phase of global expansion in the 1970’s, opening stores in New York, Geneva, Monte Carlo and Paris. In 1977 Bulgari launched the BVLGARI BVLGARI watch, a worldwide success story, considered an all-time classic. The 1980’s saw Bulgari’s diversification in other sectors such as frangrances, textiles and hotels. In 2009, Bulgari celebrated its 125th anniversary.

The Bulgari Boutique @ Sterling Diamonds Republic Street will be open all day including Sundays and Public Holidays throughout December.
