So Alternattiva Demokratika (AD) is giving prominence to the bird-hunting issue in its electoral manifesto. My goodness, what a pitiful stance! Not that this does not deserve due and serious consideration but to expect to gain votes based on this political mindset is a bit too much.
Where do other more serious and impending issues place in the AD’s electoral manifesto? What about Malta’s economic problems, the huge debt breaking the spine of Maltese citizens, the flaunting of our Constitution proviso against foreign military vessels in our ports and airports, and the indirect participation in foreign wars negating the neutrality clause and so many more serious and worrying issues breaking the backbone of our peaceful existence.
Could it be true that this is because they have very little else to talk about?
